Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)
LAR's QuickTOCNPO is the ultimate online Analyser for the monitoring of WWTP effluent samples.
Tracking pollution at 1,200°C.
The catalyst-free patented ceramic reactor is the centre piece of the QuickTOCNPO. At 1,200°C, all substances are oxidised without the use or catalysts which enables a complete analysis of samples. The QuickTOCNPO can be delivered with a number of different housings to suit even the most challenging environments with Ex-Zone I and II housings also available.
The determination of TP / o-P with the use of molybdenum blue.
The Total Phosphorus / o-P is determined by the photometric molybdenum blue method. First the sample is mixed with an oxidising agent then the mixture is fed into the reactor where ultra violet light (UV) activates the sample‘s oxidation. Finally, by adding the molybdenum blue it becomes visible how much TP is in the sample.
Quick measurements and maintenance.
The TNb, TOC and COD measurements take place in less than 3 minutes with the sample being injected directly into the furnace. Maintenance and service requirements are minimal: Less than 30 minutes per week. The analyser‘s availability is over 98%.
Filtration free sample conditioning.
Normally the outlet or effluent of a WWTP is free of particles – or at least there are only a few. In this case the Analyser requires no additional hardware and can use the sample take-up directly from the sample line. If however there is a high particulate density, the sample should be taken by the filterless, patented FlowSampler. For more information on the Flowsampler click here
